Education Workshops
Iain is an experienced teacher and workshop leader. He has taught at the Universities of Birmingham and Northampton delivering undergraduate courses in studio composition, musical studies, music technology and creative digital music. Since 2005 he has worked, almost exclusively, as a freelance workshop leader in schools.
In line with his own practice, Iain’s workshops and projects are designed to heighten the particiants awareness of their sound environment and explore the creative potential of sound, often through the use of location recording equipment and computer based audio editing. Programmes of work are typically tailored to provide a unique creative learning experience that relates directly to the curriculum while meeting the specific needs of the class or school.
