ANVIL & STIRRUP
ANVIL & STIRRUP
Anvil & Stirrup is a collaborative project with composer Antti Sakari Saario. Our collaborative work spans acousmatic composition, interactive installations, performative sound art and more experimental electroacoustic output on fixed media. We are currently developing a performance practice that combines acousmatic sensibilities, live electronics, improvisation and multi-channel spatialisation.
Anvil & Stirrup have performed at Audiograft Festival Oxford, SOUNDkitchen Birmingham. Site 13 Festival Stroud and School of Noises Falmouth. A stereo recording of our Audiograft festival performance was used as the soundtrack to Amanda Newall’s Run Blood, Blodlopp no 3 in 2012 (link below).
We released a short track ThousandUnfold that premiered at Noise Floor Festival, Stafford in 2010 and was subsequently selected for SoundLAB VII part of the New Media Festival, Cologne 2010 and featured in the Audiograft Festival Jukebox 2011.
