I’ve written these pieces as soundtracks to film, TV or theatre scenes, mostly imagined or unwritten, although some tracks are arrangements of incidental music and underscore from previous theatre projects. Some of them are exercises in working with sample libraries or writing in a particular style or genre. Published tracks are available to licence for all media via the publisher’s website.

Dark & Brooding

An album of 10 production music tracks focusing on strings in a contemporary cinematic style. Textural string layers are woven together with solo cello, subtle vocals, organic drones and synths, piano and percussion.

Jekyll & Hyde Suite

This is a suite of pieces that were originally written for the play Jekyll & Hyde by Evan Placey and produced by Birmingham Repertory Theatre. The play required incidental music for complex scene changes, underscore and dramatic movement sequences such as Jekyll’s transformation and a music hall performance. I used a melodic vocal line and instrumental countermelody to represent the Jekyll & Hyde characters and other thematic ideas run through the pieces. You can read more about the production here.
